魏景山(1943—)
上海人。1965年毕业于上海美术学院油画系。随后在上海油画雕塑创作室任专职画家。期间创作《占领总统府》（与陈逸飞合作）、《开路先锋》（与陈逸飞合作）、《瞿秋白》、《音乐家黄自》、《智慧与毅力——数学家陈景润》等具有时代影响的油画作品。与陈逸飞、夏葆元并称为“上海油画三剑客”。70年代中期，赴西藏写生，启迪一代年轻画家的创作灵感。1984年赴美研习创作，1988年获肯萨斯及纽约市立大学美术硕士。他的作品除多次参加上海的重要美术展览外，还在日本、纽约、加拿大展出过。曾荣获军事美术展览的金奖，并被中国美术馆、军事博物馆、鲁迅纪念馆、日本、香港、美国、加拿大的私人收藏家收藏。



Wei Jingshan(1943—)
Born in Shanghai.Professional painter of Shanghai Sculpture Studio. Graduated from the Department of Oil Painting of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts in 1965. In the studio, he created some oil painting works of art which are influential to the time including Occupying the Presidential Residence (co-created with Chen Yifei), Qu Qiubai, Musician Huangzi, Wisdom and Perseverance-Mathematician Chen Jingrun, etc. He, together with Chen Yifei and Xia Baoyuan were dubbed as the “Three Musketeers of Shanghai in Oil Painting”. In Mid-1970s, he went to Tibet to paint from life. His works inspired a generation of young artists. In 1984, he went to the US to do research and paint. In 1988, he received a Master’s in Art from Kansas & New York City Public Univ-ersity. His works were exhibited in some very important exhibitions in Shanghai as well as in Japan, New York and Canada. He won the “Golden Award” of “Military Art Exhibition”. His works have been collected by the National Art Museum of China, the Military Museum, Lu Xun Museum, and private collectors from Japan, Hong Kong, the USA and Canada.(Lot61,62)
